DUOS 50th Anniversary concert

Durham University Orchestral Society are celebrating their 50th anniversary with a very exciting concert, as part of the university’s Durham Arts Festival.
The Chamber and Symphony Orchestras (conducted by Oliver Zeffman and Harry Castle respectively) present a challenging and varied programme, and will be joined by Sir Thomas Allen (Chancellor of Durham University and world-renowned baritone) in the performance of a special commission for DUOS’ 50th anniversary
Beethoven – Symphony No. 8
John Casken – The Trackway of Time (with Sir Thomas Allen)
Saint-Saens – Piano Concerto No. 2 (soloist: Jonathan Whittaker)
Ravel – Daphnis and Chloe Suite 2 (with Durham University Chamber Choir)
