Durham Singers: Winter Serenade

Guest conductor Clare Lawrence-Wills leads the Durham Singers in a delightful programme of French and English unaccompanied music, filled with folk tales, fairy stories, love songs, and winter magic. The mood ranges from the serene sacred music of Messiaen and Poulenc to high-spirited madrigals and also includes part songs by Saint-Saëns, Debussy, Elgar, Finzi and Holst.
Tickets: £12 adults, £6 students and under-25s, and children under 13 are admitted free (no ticket required). Tickets available from Gala Theatre Box Office (www.galadurham.co.uk, tel 03000 266600) or can be purchased via the choir website for collection on the door.

Passerau: Il est bel et bon.
Orland de Lassus: Bonjoeur Mon Coeur.
Finzi: My spirit sang all day.
Wylbie: Weep, weep mine eyes. Draw on sweet night.
Holst: I love my love. Bring us in good ale.
Elgar: Three songs op 18 (Love. O Happy Eyes. My love dwelt in a northern land.)
