The Dunelm Consort, directed by Matthew McCullough perform rarely performed early polyphony for Lent in Durham Cathedral Chapter House.
The Consort sing motets by Jean L’Héritier (b.1480) and Nicolas Gombert (b.1495), including Gombert’s stunning Media Vita, and the hauntingly beautiful Tenebrae Responsories for Maundy Thursday by Carlo Gesualdo (b.1566)
