Renaissance & Ben Rowarth: Remembrance

Renaissance, critically acclaimed, semi-professional vocal ensemble made up of a number of Durham a University Alumni and conducted by Ben Rowarth, are joined by Professor David Fuller for an evening of poetry and music commemorating those who died in the First World War. Music to include contemporary and twentieth century gems by Tavener, Macmillan and Howells interwoven with Alonso Lobo’s beautifully mournful, sixteenth century setting of the ‘Lamentations’ in the stunning surroundings of Durham Cathedral Chapter House.
