Christus Natus Est: Carols for Advent and Christmas by Renaissance
Renaissance, directed by Ben Rowarth, return to Durham Cathedral Chapter House with a program of Sixteenth Century Christmas classics and stunning contemporary reflections celebrating the running of advent into the festive season. Music by Tallis, Byrd, Britten, Rowarth, the World Premiere of a new Carol by Durham’s very own Jeremy Dibble and much more, this will be a fantastic concert to get you in the mood for Christmas.

Renaissance are a young semi-professional vocal ensemble, founded in Durham by Ben Rowarth and still using many of the university’s students and alumni, that have been moving from strength, recently performing in the Swaledale Festival, the Hexham Abbey Festival and appearing earlier this year on BBC Radio 3, receiving outstanding reviews from acclaimed choral director Ralph Allwood and broadcaster Clemency Burton-Hill.
