In their final concert of the year, Durham University Chamber Choir draw on folk influences in both sacred and secular worlds to explore familiar and foreign landscapes. The programme includes music by British composers Ralph Vaughan Williams and Cecilia McDowall and Baltic composers Ēriks Ešenvalds  and Cyrillus Kreek, and culminates in Herbert Howells’ ravishing and moving piece ‘Take him, earth for Cherishing’, written in memory of John F. Kennedy.
