Durham University Chamber Choir presents ’Now sleeps the crimson petal’ – a concert marrying floral imagery, Marian texts and atmospheric Advent repertoire, from the Renaissance world of Sheppard, the luxurious polyphony of Pearsall, and contemporary works by Tarney and Newton-Rex. The centrepiece of the programme is Paul Mealor’s, A Spotless Rose, and Richard Marlow’s Advent Responsory.
