Durham Choral Society shortlisted for EPIC award

Congratulations to Durham Choral Society who have been short-listed for a Voluntary Arts EPIC award for their concert in May 2014 2014 featuring choral works by local composers that celebrate the North East’s rich mining and Christian heritage. The concert included the world premiere of Will Lang’s ‘Canny at Neet, Bonny at Morn’ commissioned by the Choral Society and Will Todd’s Gala and Gloria.

Alongside the main awards, a “people’s choice” award gives everyone the chance to vote: you can support Durham Choral Society’s entry via the link here http://shortlist.epicawards.co.uk/ – it’s really simple and quick, and the closing date is 18 May.

Music in Durham wishes Durham Choral Society the very best of luck in the awards.
