Captain Noah
Musicians from St Chad’s College and Durham Young Chorus peform Captain Noah and his Floating Zoo, directed by the college President of JCR MUsic Phoebe Halpern. Written by Michael Flanders and Joseph Horovitz, this ‘pop cantata’ offers a creative reinterpretation of the biblical story and won the 1976 Ivor Novello Award for Best British Work for Children.
The afternoon will also include a performance by the award-winning choir, Phoenix Consort, directed by St Chad’s College finalist, Adam Whitmore.
Tickets £12 / £8 concessions and free for under-13s, with all proceeds going to support the music outreach efforts at St Chad’s.
