Ich könnte dir ein Lied davon singen!

Durham Cathedral Consort of Singers
Deborah Thorne (cello)
Hugh Clint-Woodward (chamber organ)

Before the solemn season of Lent begins, Durham Cathedral Consort of Singers present a programme of joyous choral music including Felix Mendelssohn’s set of three psalms, Op.78 and the Mass for 16 voices by the early classical composer Carl Friedrich Christian Fasch. This Lutheran Mass (Kyrie and Gloria only) features four choirs, singing in a sumptuous style which will echo around the splendour of the Nine Altars Chapel., accompanied by Deborah Thorne on cello and the Cathedral’s Organ Scholar, Hugh Clist-Woodward on chamber organ.

After the concert, the audience and the choir will have the opportunity to meet and chat over a glass of something refreshing.
