Durham Opera Ensemble celebrate their 20th anniversary with an evening of operatic highlights from The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni and more, accompanied by Durham University Palatinate Orchestra

The programme draws on operas staged by Durham Opera Ensemble over the past twenty years (quite a few of which have been reviewed on these pages!), celebrating the music that has shaped the society’s history. Enjoy a dazzling array of arias, duets, quartets and choruses from operas by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Purcell, Gilbert and Sullivan, and many more. Opening each half of the concert, the Palatinate Orchestra perform Johann Strauss’ Die Fledermaus Overture and the Act IV Entr’acte from Bizet’s Carmen.
