SongPath in the Botanic Garden

Join SongPath for a unique blend of music, nature and wellbeing in the beautiful surroundings of Durham University Botanic Garden. From the woodland garden to the wildflower meadow, we’ll explore what is underfoot and overhead in an uplifting and interactive afternoon of song.

Founded in 2019 by singers Jess Dandy and Joanna Harries, SongPath has so far travelled to Cumbria, Oxfordshire, Yorkshire and West Sussex, joined by other world-class musicians, nature and wellbeing professionals, with the aim of encouraging creative connection to the world around us through walking, talking and music-making in nature.

Free with Botanic Garden ticket (adults £5, concessions £4.50, children, carers and university campus card holders, free). No pre-booking required.

Free workshop

Joanna Harries will lead a free workshop exploring body, breath, voice and song, in advance of this event on Monday 8 June, 6.30 – 8pm in the Durham University Music Department on Palace Green. No advance booking required, just turn up.
