Sibelius Symphony No.2 finale

The finale of Sibelius's Second symphony was playing when I got the most fantastic bit of career-changing news, and it summed up exactly how I felt.

Sibelius has been a recent discovery for me and I’ve been gradually getting to know his symphonies over the last few years. I happened to be listening to this symphony on headphones in my dark gloomy corner at my old job when I got the news that I was being offered my dream job at Samling Institute. I sat there with the final movement pouring into my ears, feeling overwhelmed with joy and excitement, and the music expressed exactly what I was feeling.

I’ve set this video clip to start at the last movement, but it runs in without a break from the previous movement, so to get the full effect, it’s worth listening to the whole thing.
